Clerk's Corner

Items from the Session meetings of April 6, 2008 and April 13, 2008:
- A $500 donation was approved for mission work in connection with Brenda Keys' mission trip to Belize.
- Elder Sharp reported that a full financial review of the treasurers' books for 2007 had been completed.
- A letter from Presbytery indicating that a $2,500 grant had been made to E.C.C.H.O. was shared with Session. This grant is available from the Cents-Ability Offering.
- Elder Minichan reported on the activities of the Membership, Fellowship, and Evangelism Committee. These included Palm Sunday communion, Maundy Thursday dinner and communion, Lenten readings, and a coffee.
- Elder Haddox made a motion to order carnations for Mothers Day. They will be distributed to all ladies at the morning worship service on May 11,2008.
- Elder Stooke reported that seven children attended the Easter egg hunt at the church on the Saturday before Easter.
- Elder Haddox will obtain an estimate on replacing the sanctuary roof.
- Since Mother's Day is scheduled for the second Sunday in May, Session agreed that the next Regular Stated Meeting of Session will be held after worship service on May 4, 2008.
